This is a 24/7 resource for anyone in the state of Georgia who might be experiencing a mental health emergency.  Licensed counselors are available to speak with and if they assess a crisis, they may be able to send a mobile team to your location to provide you with the support you need. They also provide referrals for mental health and substance abuse treatment centers in your county.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

This is a US-based suicide prevention network that provides 24/7 support to those in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. The lifeline supports people who call for themselves or someone they care about.

This is a great resource for those struggling with mental illness or caring for a loved one who is struggling with a mental illness. NAMI’s goals include educating the public about mental illness, working to eliminate the stigma of mental illness, and advocating for access to quality healthcare, housing, education, and employment.

This number provides toll-free 24/7 access to confidential referrals and information about mental health and/or substance abuse disorders, prevention, and treatment. SAMHSA is the agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that leads public efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation.
